The Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, organized two concurrent camps named ‘Rookie’ and ‘Barracuda’ for the Naval Orientation Courses and IInd term cadets respectively. The camps aimed at inculcating qualities of leadership, camaraderie and team spirit under severe physical and mental duress on the trainees.
The Hon’ble Governor of Kerala, Shri Justice P Sathasivam, paid an official visit to Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala on 03-04 April 2016. The Hon'ble Governor was on his maiden visit to the Academy. He was accompanied by his wife Smt Saraswathi Sathasivam and personal staff.
Vice Admiral Girish Luthra, AVSM, VSM, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command, arrived at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala today on a three day official visit. The Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief is accompanied by his wife Mrs Preeti Luthra and personal staff.
Inter Squadron Novices Cross Country Championship for I term INAC & I term NOC (Reg & Ext) was conducted on 27 Mar 16. A total of 244 participants took part in the event. In male category, Cdt Ashish Sepahia of Achiever Squadron bagged Gold medal. Cdt Akshay G Nair of Eagle Squadron stood second with Silver medal and Cdt Rohit D Pawar of Braveheart squadron at third position with bronze medal. In female category, Cdt Shivani Sharma of Eagle Squadron bagged Gold medal.
Inter Squadron declamation competition for II, IV, VI and VIII term was conducted on 23 Mar 16. Cdt Paritosh Singh of IV term from Achiever Squadron bagged the runners up declaimer where DCC Jeeth Jacob Thomas of VIII term from Fighter Squadron was adjudged as the best declaimer.

Biangular Sailing Regatta - 2016 between INA and NDA was conducted at MWTC from 17 - 19 Mar 16. INA won the Regatta by a score of 7 - 0.
The Sabhiki Cup-2016, a sports meet for trainees of five premier officer training academies of the Army, Navy and the Air force, viz., Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun; Air force Academy (AFA), Hyderabad; National Defence Academy , Khadakwasla; Officers' Training Academy, Chennai and the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala concluded on the 18th of March here at the INA. IMA team won the ‘sports meet’ and lifted the ‘Sabhiki Cup’ on the basis of their consistent performance throughout the event. INA and NDA teams came second and third respectively.
The Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, organized two concurrent training camps named ‘Samudra-Manthan’ and ‘Varuna’, for the IVth and VIIth term cadets respectively from 09-12 March 2016. Over 260 trainees of the Academy participated in these camps spread over a grueling four days. The exercises undertaken by the trainees involved crossing water obstacle course, endurance marches/runs, seamanship activities, and whaler rowing & sailing in backwaters and the high seas with very limited sleep and rest.
The Sabhiki Cup-2016, a sports meet for trainees of five premier officer training academies of the Army, Navy and the Air force will be held at Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala from 14th to 18th of March 2016. The sports meet, previously known as Hexagonal Meet, was renamed as 'Sabhiki Cup' in 1991 after the then Commandant, National Defence Academy (NDA), Khadakvasla, Air Marshal DS Sabhiki, AVSM.
The Inter - Squadron Rowing Championship for Spring Term 2016 was held at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), today. The finals of the prestigious event, which tests the stamina, endurance, teamwork, team cohesion, will power, josh and morale in the participants, was witnessed by Rear Admiral MD Suresh, NM, Deputy Commandant and a host of officers and cadets of the Academy. About 420 trainees took part in the championship with each of the six squadrons of the Academy fielding a team in five different categories.
