During the on-going mid-term break for cadets at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, a large number of parents of cadets who joined INA in June 2015 visited INA from 18th to 19th of September 2015.  The parents were visiting the cadets for the first time after their joining the INA.
The aim of organising such a visit was to familiarise the parents with the various training and allied facilities, and, the training curriculum followed by their children at the INA. On arrival an INA movie was screened for the visiting parents and thereafter they had an interaction with Rear Admiral MD Suresh, Dy Commandant and other officers wherein all their queries and apprehensions if any were allayed. They were taken on a conducted tour of various training facilities like laboratories, workshops, simulators, ‘Arjun’ small arms firing range, ‘Mulla’ aquatics complex, ‘Marakkar’  Waterman-ship training centre, Naval hospital Navjivani, canteen facilities etc. The parents also interacted with the faculty members and the officers of INA during the visit.
During the day the parents had the opportunity to bond with their wards and visit the historical sites in town with them. All parents were highly appreciative of endeavour of the INA in arranging their visit and of   the training infrastructure and facilities provided to the cadets at INA.
