MOTOR CAR EXPEDITION TITLED‘ATMANIRBHAR YATRA’ TRANSITS THROUGH INA
#AzadiKaAmrutMahotsav – Commemorating the ‘Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav’, 75 years of India’s Independence celebrations, and the Golden Jubilee of Naval Dockyard Visakhapatnam, a motor car expedition christened as ‘Atmanirbhar Yatra’ arrived at Indian Naval Academy on 09 Apr 21. The Motor Car expedition team was received with traditional military fanfare by Station Commander, Ezhimala. The rally planned over a distance of 5000 km in 22 days started from Visakhapatnam on 30 Mar 21. Whilst transiting through eight cities of Southern part of India, the rally aims to foster partnership with MSMEs to boost the indigenisation efforts of the Indian Navy. The expedition was flagged off for its next leg to Kochi on 11 Apr 21 by Vice Admiral M A Hampiholi, AVSM, NM, Commandant, INA.
