SOCIAL MEDIA RELEASE SUBTHEME 3‘Dilli Series’ Sea Power Seminar

The eighth edition of ‘Dilli Series’ Sea Power Seminar will be conducted from 11-12 Oct 21 at Indian Naval Academy and will be streamed live on YouTube. The theme of this year’s Webinar is ‘Maritime History of the IOR’. The theme is further divided into three sub-themes, which will be discussed by various speakers over a span of two days.
The third Sub-theme on Day 2 will highlight the ‘Lessons Learnt from India’s Maritime Journey: British Raj to Independence and Beyond’ and will be moderated by RAdm SY Shrikhande, AVSM (Retd).
Ms Swapna Nair and Ms Janhavi Lokegaonkar, the duo from Maritime History Society, Mumbai will inaugrate the session by talking about ‘Role of Royal Indian Marine and Royal Indian Navy in the World Wars’. The second set of speakers, Dr Naina Manjrekar from Krea University and Mr Pramod Kapoor, Founder Roli Books will shed light on the very famous ‘Naval Uprising of 1946’. While Cdr Ninad Phaterphekar will speak about ‘Indian Shipbuilding – The Bombay Dockyard and Wadia Builders’, Cdr Ankush Banerjee, Officer-in-charge, Naval History Division, will share screen with Midshipmen of Indian Naval Academy on the topic ‘Indian Navy in Goa Liberation Operation’.
